Amcor Completes Sale of 50% Stake in Bericap North America

Amcor, a global leader in packaging solutions, completed the sale of its 50% stake in Bericap North America (BCNA) on December 27, 2024. The sale proceeds of USD 122 million will be used to reduce the company’s debt.

The joint venture Bericap North America generated total revenue of approximately USD 190 million and an adjusted EBIT of around USD 19 million in fiscal year 2024. These figures were previously fully consolidated in Amcor’s “Rigid Packaging” business segment. The adjusted net income attributable to Amcor in fiscal year 2024 was approximately USD 8 million. After accounting for the reduction in interest expenses resulting from the transaction, the divestiture is not expected to impact Amcor’s financial forecast for fiscal year 2025.
